John Freida makes a shampoo and conditioner called ';go blonder'; that contains chamomile and some sort of lifting agent. It claims to lighten your hair gradually and gentlyHow do i lighten my hair colour without dye?
You can use peroxide, which is used in dye but isn't a dye in itself.

Get a weak bottle, 10 vol. Dilute it with water, like 3 parts water 1 part peroxide. I'm not sure if this is the best ratio, you can check on google. But if you spray this on your hair at the beginning of the day every few days it will lighten your hair gradually. However, peroxide will dry out your hair a bit so make sure you wash your hair thoroughly when you do and use a good conditioner :)
Lemon Juice. Take lemon juice, and put it in a spray bottle and dilute it with some water.

Then spray it in your hair, and sit out in the sun for at least an hour a day. (Read a book, study, listen to your ipod or something)

Anyway.. the sun reacts with the lemon juice and lightens your hair naturally. Depending on how light you want it.. it could take a few months.. but it does work, and is safe.

Just be sure that when you wash your hair that you use a good condition to compensate for the lemon juice... (since it is an acid more or less and can dry your hair over time.)
Wow this was a very challenging question to answer than i remembered that i had this really great book !

You will need : a lemon , some salt , and a sunny day

This is especially great becuz you dont have to use harsh chemicals in ur hair

Squeeze a lemon in a bowl until all the juice is gone add a teaspoon of salt and stir it up

Lean ur head over the sink and work the mix in ur hair rub it in well , then go outside Let your hair sit in full sunlight for a couple of hours . Then go back inside , rinse your hair and dry

Tah-dah , maybe you can email me pics it it works well in ur hair , even if i doesnt you are just fine the way u are !!!
Strong sunlight bleaches hair. Go to your salon when your hair is the color you really like and ask the stylist how to maintain that color.
