Why do people have different hair colour?

I am a natural blonde, and sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them. I don't understand why we have different coloured hair, or why blonde is less average. Does anyone know?Why do people have different hair colour?
I know that blonder people have more estrogen in their systems, sorry i can't spell, anyway hormones can affect hair color. also you get your traits from your parents, that controlls the hair color too. plus how lame would it be if everyone had the same hair color? boooring! everyone is different!Why do people have different hair colour?
its ALL about where we came from....Yes most people here are calling it genetics and it is.....but our colouring is about WHERE WE CAME FROM!!!





in warmer climates, such as in Africa, humans had to adapt to the constant damaging sun and UV rays. Darker skin/ eyes/ hair helped prevent to much damaged.





in colder climates, such as England, humans had to adapt to very cold climates. The lost their need for the UV protection and other things began to change. Have you even noticed how European noses are longer than African noses? This is because the long shape of the nose somehow heats up the hair before it hits the lungs.


Maybe European skin is lighter for camouflage in the snow?? Little differences are to adapt to the environment so this is a possibility.





Why are blonds less common? Well despite their being many cold climates Holland (and other close-by countries) where the main producers of blonde children. How many people descend from those areas now you think about it? Also the blonde gene is recessive so maybe that kid with the dark brown hair may end up having blonde kids. He has the blonde gene though it can't show because of the dominant brown one.





Just remember. Genetics are about adaption.


You look like how you are because of the environment your ancestors lived in.
