I think ginger hair is great its a well cool colour people who take the mick are very mean !
That doesn't happen here in the US. The British Isles have the highest percentage of redheads, so I can't figure out what the issue with them is over there. That's where redheads come from.
I don't understand why people do. I have red hair and NEVER got picked on at school, but when I started my job 3 years ago (in a large, well known organisation), People took the mick constantly!


I have now dyed my hair brown, blonde.....etc and now all I get it is.....';its better than ginger';





Its quite sad as it is mainly grown adults that are the ones going around saying this, and i dont think they realise its actually quite hurtful and makes you very very self concious.
I think people maybe mock red heads because blonde and brown hair, and black hair I guess, are more common.. But don't worry what others say, I think that the more original you are, that's soo great. Why would you want to just blend in with the crowd? I'm sure your hair is awesome!
Yeah its pathetic. I think that ginger hair is actually quite unique, as long as its not really really bright orange.. but still its dumb.
Redheads are picked on because of the total lack of respect for others that permeates British society like a vile cancerous boil.

I personally like redheads, and people joke about them probably because they're not common? anyways, i don;t find the jokes funny either...
I think its just mean but i wish i was a red head at times i love that color of hair. Theirs a red head at my school and sometimes i envey her hair.Maybe their just jealous.
yeah, that totally doesn't happen in the US...we're all jealous of redheads over here because it's such a great color. maybe it's the british/irish history???

Pathetic stereotyping really. Unfortunately, natural red-heads only make up about 3% of the population which makes them stand out.
