Can I dye over my permanent hair colour with a darker permanent?

I dyed my hair from brown to reddish (watermelon Red) about 4 weeks ago but my hair has gone noticeably brown again, even against the light. I want to dye it black/purple. Will it work if I do this or will it damage my hair too much. Is it too soon? Any answers will be appreciated. Can I dye over my permanent hair colour with a darker permanent?
It should work fine i dye mine all the time. But be careful if you don't like the black/purple it will be harder to change. Can I dye over my permanent hair colour with a darker permanent?
It should be fine, but just be aware that the colour you chose maybe be a bit darker on you already dyed hair, also if you are going to go for a brown and ( I know you said black/purple) don't want any reddish colour in your brown go for a ash colour as that dye doesn't carry any red. Good luck
Yes you can!
I redye mine all the time
In that amount of time it is unlikely to damage your hair but it's still soon enough that the colors could mix or even not apply in some areas.
redye it and use loads of conditioner
You can dye over it i wouldn't go with a purple because it has a natural red tone in it. Black will cover the red, it won't damage your hair because you are adding colour not lifting ( as in bleaching). Because you have recently coloured your hair try leaving your conditioner on for ten minutes. This re hydrates your hair.
Yes you could do this but it would really damage your hair. I would suggest that you maybe go to a salon and talk to a good cosmetologist and have them do both a dye job and a conditioning treatment if you really want to be dying it again.
