How do I keep My hair colour from fading? Can i colour over already coloured hair?

i dyed my hair about a month ago with permanent hair colour but it faded heaps. its almost back to my natural colour! Can i dye my hair again even though i still have permenent dye in it? and how do i keep it from fading again?How do I keep My hair colour from fading? Can i colour over already coloured hair?
I usually keep it in for awhile longer then it says on the box. But when you wash it out wash it out well but then don't wash your hair for 2 days. Some of the dye remains in your hair so it kinda gives it a good while to stain your hair. You can dye it once again but you shouldn't if it's black. For instance if you dyed it black you can't go blonde. It will turn orange. The black dye is too dark it takes awhile for your hair to turn blonde so you'll have to dye and dye and dye it over again and again.How do I keep My hair colour from fading? My hair was black (dyed) and then i bleached it out to a ginger and covered it with pink. It went back to ginger, so I lighten it with blonde dye twice and then recoloured it.





You can dye over permanent colour, with the same colour. If you are changing colours, it harder, but as long as you go darker it should work. Leave it on for no more then ten minutes longer that the box says, bad things happen when you ignore instructions!! =)





I recommend Schwarzkopft and Garnier as being longstaying, non-fading dyes.
