How do i dye over patchy hair colour?

I have straight black hair and got some thick blonde streaks pout through it. I've had the roots redone several times but each time it is a slight different colour and so my highlights are a combo of blonde and orange! How do I dye over these, I don't mind if i have to go a light brown colour on the highlights.How do i dye over patchy hair colour?
it will take a while, you will have 2 dye it one flat color probably 2 or 3 times before its non patchy.How do i dye over patchy hair colour?
Oh girl i had the same problem i would always want to g from blonde to brown to aburn to burnett... One thing i can say is go to your nicest nearest salon ..let them bleach your hair and then let them go a little bit lighter on your hair instead of black try burnett which is smiliar to black but is the darkest drown and then let them put in blonde highlites and highlites do go away after a while so try to get them done every 4 months so like 3 times in 1 yr and always CONDITION your hair its VERY iimportant!!!!
I had the same problem, and I liked my highlights. So, I had to color my hair one base color, and then put my highlights back in. If you can't afford to go to a salon and get it done by the same sylists who knows your highlight color, I believe it's Loreal that has a combo kit with the base color and highlights. That's what I always look for if I know I don' t have the time or money to go to the salon.
